Pearson Assessment and Information acquired the Versant tests from Ordinate Corporation. The Versant English language tests represent cutting-edge science merged with linguistics. These products have helped customers globally and within India assess English language skills suited to their business needs, both for hiring and developing talent.

Pearson Assessment set up its office in India in the year 2008, recognizing the need to serve the assessment needs of Indian customers direct. While customers in India have benefited from the gold standards of Pearson talent assessment products for a long time, now they will also benefit from direct technical and customer support as well as sales contact from Pearson. The India office also hosts the Clinical Division of Pearson Assessment.
